YouTube Music

YouTube, for me, has replaced ye olde Napster (back in the day) as the main method of discovering new music. See, back in the late 1990′s – the far  yesteryears – peer-to-peer file sharing was all the rage. If someone told you about a new band or song, you’d go home, boot up Napster, do [...]

Taking a small break from TwR to post these videos I made of a friend and I selling liquids at RAGBRAI this year. Let me know what you think!

That’s the Idea!

That's the Idea!

The same dynamics at play in this video work on almost every scale, in practically every aspect of life. Our failings come from stopping too soon, from rejecting those around us, from waiting for better circumstances… when all we really need to do is dance. It’s a good lesson for me, in any event.

Digging in the Mud + Surprise! (GF) (Video)

Digging in the Mud + Surprise! (GF) (Video)

This is one of my vlog posts from Growing Freedom, my old blog on the trials of trying to start your own sustainable garden/mini-farm with almost no personal experience. Fortunately nothing bad happened (that we can tell, anyway). Still, it’s always fun to find things like that. Get Volume 1 Now!

Interview on "Writers' Voices"

http://www.writersvoices.com/free-radio-online/writing/ron-khare-the-sharp-knife-of-forced-simplicity-the-numinous-rebellion/ Probably the best interview I’ve had so far. Thanks Monica and Caroline! You can also watch the interview on YouTube here: Get Volume 1 Now!

Deer Fence #3 (GF) (Video)

Deer Fence #3 (GF) (Video)

This is one of my vlog posts from Growing Freedom, my old blog on the trials of trying to start your own sustainable garden/mini-farm with almost no personal experience. As implied, this is the third video in a series in which I desperately try to keep animals from eating my garden. I estimate, despite the fences [...]

Rototiller vs. Iowa Clay (GF) (Video)

This is one of my vlog posts from Growing Freedom, my old blog on the trials of trying to start your own sustainable garden/mini-farm with almost no personal experience. Figuring that hand-digging was taking too much time and effort, I convince my parents to rent a rototiller for me – the results are not too surprising. [...]

Radish Harvest: Final Payback (GF) (Video)

This is one of my vlog posts from Growing Freedom, my old blog on the trials of trying to start your own sustainable garden/mini-farm with almost no personal experience. Trying to see a return on my money and time – We might not have made much, but we had bags and bags of radishes at [...]

Django’s Garden (GF) (Video)

This is one of my vlog posts from Growing Freedom, my old blog on the trials of trying to start your own sustainable garden/mini-farm with almost no personal experience. Let’s just say that this isn’t Iowa Soil so much as Iowa Compacted Clay. It’s like trying to dig wet but setting cement. As you can [...]

Iowa’s Lost Prairie – Lighting My Dashboard on Fire (Video)

This video used to be the main page greeting. It wasn’t exactly the best sales pitch, but I thought it was fun. Remember: If you’re going to do something stupid, at least make it for a good cause. Get Volume 1 Now!
